Wow - This place is like someone's state of the art apartment and provided a perfect change of scenery from the Al maha where we have previously stayed. Talk about two ends of the spectrum!
What was great about this place, and - this is only a small thing - was the lunches! About 20 different types of bread meaning you could select a gorgeous fresh baguette, then fill it with any number of fab fillings....This was a really nice thing - the buffet restaurants were amazing and the choice superb, but to be able to choose your own fresh sandwich and make it up yourself was such a nice change.
Our room here was really large, very luxurious and would be perfect for families as you could add an extra bed if required. we had a very nice lounge area with widescreen tv and comfy chairs, we stayed in several nights and watched a few films - it was very homely and right in the heart of Dubai which meant we could see the sights. Although you cannot walk anywhere as there are road blocks everywhere. Taxis are cheap to use though which was great.
We used the luxurious pool in the hotel - very nice
The hotel is near the marina which is under construction, however, the noise isn't audible in rooms and doesn't keep you awake or anything like that. I'd say that people should be aware of all the construction work that is going on in Dubai centre before booking - you get used to it but it is a city in progress. The marina is being done at the minute and will be amazing once completed.
I thought this hotel was very good, excellent in fact - and I'd definitley recommend it.
