I recently spent a week at the Ritz Carlton on bed and breakfast basis and had a really good experience with lots of positive things to report!
Firstly the rooms, all of them overlook the sea and this is a nice aspect about the place as its not ideal overlooking building work when you have paid good money for the room. Inside, the rooms were well kitted out with a plasma screen tv and all mod cons as you'd expect. The location obviously is great as you are right on Jumeirah beach itself.
The hotel runs a lovely quaint afternoon tea in the lounge, surroundings throughout the hotel spell luxury and this is a really nice place to come to indulge and see Dubai in style.
The grounds are well tended to, there's a nice swimming pool with waterfall, swim up bar and a little river ride which younger kids will enjoy.
I'm fairly sure I'd recommend this place to both my mates, both single and the ones with families, as this hotel seems to cater for a wide range of guests all after different holiday experiences.
One last mention is for the restaurants, we ate at the Italian on the first night and had a delicious linguine, but perhaps the stand out meal was in the seafood restaurant where the freshly caught prawns were superb. There is also a very good Arabian style restaurant here serving spicy foods as well as more staple ones which are easier on the palate!
Great weather accompanied our stay which always helps, but this is an excellent hotel and I'm glad I paid the extra to stay here, as it was well worth it.
