The Mina A Salam is without question one of the best hotels in the world. The most difficult decision is which of the 3 parts of Madinat Jumeirah to stay at.
Mina A Salam has the smallest rooms (50sqm, vs 55 and 60 at Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf respectively), but they are still larger than an average size hotel room.
I like the Mina A Salam for its proximity to the sea and great sea views. Of the three, the Mina is best for couples who want to sit on their balcony and watch the sun go down. The sunset from this hotel is superb, with the Burj Al Arab as a backdrop and all rooms have either a full or a side sea view (as opposed to Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf, where some rooms look into the resort)
Mina A Salam is slightly more understated than Al Qasr, yet still has the same excellent standard of service. You really can't go wrong with any of the Madinat properties, but I'd say Mina A Salam for couples wanting sea views and great sunsets.
