The Royal Meridien is a really excellent hotel that has something for everyone. The hotel boasts 3 pools, excellent grounds and a great choice of upmarket restaurants.
The rooms in the main hotel are a good standard, although I would definately pay the extra for a sea view, which have great views over the grounds, out to sea and of Palm Island.
Although the club is good, I personally don't think it is worth the upgrade and the views from the rooms are quite variable, often back towards the marina and the construction.
If you want a higher quality of room go for the "Tower", which has a seperate check in and higher quality finishings and amenities..

| Prime rib is the best steak restaurant I have been to. |
| The rooftop bar at the new restaurant within the grounds is well worth a visit. |
| Don't bother with the Club rooms, not really worth the upgrade. |
| Go for a sea view in the main hotel. |
| The infinity edge "Tower" pool is the best and can be used by all guests. |
