Le Royal Meridien is a fantastic choice for families. The rooms are a great size, even with the child extra bed in the room, there was plenty of space still. From the moment you are greeted at the door you know you are in for some pampering! Breakfast was served at the Brasserie restaurant which even though it is buffet style, pancakes and omlettes are cooked fresh to your liking and there is plenty of choice of other things. There is plenty of space around the pool and garden areas and the service from the pool staff was excellent, regularly coming round with water sprays, cold towels and refreshing sorbets. They were also on hand to take your order of food and drink so you didnt even need to move from your sunlounger if you didnt want to! The childrens club staff were fantastic and there are plenty activites organised throughout the day for children. There are so many restaurants to choose from at night but one I can highly recommend is the Prime Rib steak house. I have also eaten at Maya on a previous visit and this was another favourite. The buffet restaurant has a different theme each night so you dont feel as though you are eating the same food each night, again some dishes are prepared fresh on the cooking station. The restaurants are more than accommodating to children which was nice and have their own kids menu which actually consists of proper food (rather than the usual burgers and chips!) so the kids can feel as though they are eating proper meals like their parents. I also had to take my daughter to the in house doctor during my stay and this service was excellent. Overall this hotel is a superb choice. Admittedly, close to the construction work taking place at Jumeirah Residence and Dubai Marina but dont let this put you off at all, you cant hear it in any way and once inside the hotel and its grounds you would not even know if was taking place.I would definately stay at this hotel again.
