As a family hotel, i really don't think this can be beaten. all the fairly large rooms can accomodate easily a family of four, for larger groups or families with older children, inter-connecting rooms are available.
The facilities are amazing with so much choice on restaurants , you will never get bored. The pool is fantastic too, but incase you dont like it, just pop next door to the fabulous Wild Wadi Water park (you should get complementary access while staying here).
The only thing i would say, as the oldest hotel on Jumeirah beach, parts are showing its age (the Lobby mainly) and some people may think the rooms colour scheme (based around the earths elements) are a little bright. More arabic feeling hotels are available elsewhere as are more modern stylings. Also, if you want somewhere away from kids - don't stay here!
